JAENA RAE CABRERA (she/her)PresidentSan Francisco Public Library Program Manager and information professional with a passion for building inclusive, community-centered spaces through libraries, culture, and storytelling. With a background in public service, digital curation, and community engagement, Jaena Rae Cabrera has led programs that celebrate the Filipino American diaspora while expanding access to information, education, and the arts.
Currently serving at the Filipino American Center at the San Francisco Public Library, Jaena develops cultural and educational initiatives, builds partnerships with community organizations, and co-directs major events including the Filipino American International Book Festival. Her career spans leadership roles in public libraries, digital publishing, editorial work, and emergency communications, combining creativity with strong operational and team leadership experience. Jaena also serves in national leadership roles within the library profession, including past president of the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association and council representative to the American Library Association. In 2023, she was recognized as a Library Journal Mover & Shaker for her leadership, advocacy, and contributions to the library and information profession. She is deeply committed to equity, representation, and amplifying underrepresented voices through literature, programming, and community collaboration.
